UPPER RESPIRATORY INFECTION ("COLD")

If your foster pet has clinical symptoms consistent with a simple cold that are **non-emergent** such as eye/nasal discharge, congestion and/or sneezing, please select the Upper Respiratory Infection ("cold") service.

ILLNESS / INJURY / RECHECK

**Please do NOT use this service to schedule an appointment for vaccines or preventative care. Please refer to the 2023 Foster Protocol - Preventative care is offered during vaccine clinic hours ONLY. Please contact the foster office at acpsfosters@coj.net with any questions. Thank You!** If your foster pet is ill (eg, chronic diarrhea or constipation, difficulty urinating, fever, vomiting, loss of appetite, weight loss, lethargy, etc.) -or- has sustained an injury -or- you need to schedule a recheck for a previously diagnosed condition, please select the Illness/Injury/Recheck service. If this is an emergency, you can email ACPSFosters@coj.net, call the office (904) 255-7388 or come directly to the shelter during our normal operating hours. After hours please call (904)718-5316 **Please do NOT schedule an appointment for a cast/splint change or a repeat x-ray. SKIN ISSUES (eg: Ringworm)

If your foster pet has suspicious patches of hair loss, scabs, excessive itching (etc) or you need to schedule a recheck for **previously diagnosed RINGWORM**, please select the Skin Issues service. **[If your foster(s) has been previously diagnosed with lice or scabies, please select the Lice or Scabies Treatment service.]**

LICE OR SCABIES TREATMENT

**This service is NOT for RINGWORM treatment. Please select the Skin Issues service for a ringworm recheck.** If your foster(s) has been previously diagnosed with lice or scabies, please select the Lice or Scabies Treatment service for the 2nd and 3rd doses of medication required per the treatment protocol.

EAR ISSUES

If your foster pet is shaking it's head and/or scratching at it's ears, has odor/discharge from the ears -or- you need to schedule a recheck for a previously diagnosed ear issue (eg, ear mites, ear infection, etc.), please select the Ear Issues service. **Please DO NOT clean your foster pet(s) ears prior to your appointment to be seen. Cleaning the ears may skew the cytology results and ultimate diagnosis.**

EYE ISSUES

If your foster pet has a cloudy eye(s), suspected adhesion/ulceration -or- has previously been diagnosed with an adhesion or ulceration, please select the Eye Issues service.

Nail Trim

Nail trim only. If trimming the nails is going to cause excessive stress to the foster pet and will be in the best interest not proceed with the nail trim we will stop and have to revisit another day.
